When it comes to restoring and renovating old buildings, it goes without saying that the materials used must fulfil the highest quality requirements.
Mineral colour shades have a velvety matt surface with an incomparable depth and high brilliance. They look elegant and aesthetic, and are absolutely UV-stable. Our shades from the KEIM colour range are timeless, blend harmoniously with the surroundings and can be perfectly combined.
Almost all colour requests are possible. Special silicate paints by KEIM are available for every substrate, whether render, wood or concrete.
Many conventional interior paints contain additional preservatives, such as isothiazolinone. Keim's healthy interior paints do not contain any added isothiazolinone as pot preservatives that could cause allergic reactions in sensitive people such as children or allergy sufferers. The alkalinity of the silicate binder makes this possible. Paint products based on other binders do not have this natural preservation effect, so that preservatives are usually added to make these interior paints last as long as possible. The preservatives can then trigger allergies.

KEIM Mineral Paints possess many qualities that are inherent due to their ingredients, composition, and manufacturing process. One such quality that is becoming increasingly significant is its non-combustibility, meaning that it does not support the spread of flame and nor does it give off any noxious emissions.
KEIM Mineral Paints and renders are incombustible due to their organic composition and are therefore ideal for use in safety critical public areas such as underground stations and tunnels, airports, schools, hospitals, hotels as well as residential high-rise buildings.
There is a difference between fire resistant and fire retardant paints:
▼ Fire resistant, such as KEIM do not melt, or drip when exposed to extreme heat; their integral nature prevent the passage of fire from one area to another and they are able to withstand heat or energy for a given period of time.
▼ Fire retardant paint on the other hand is used to slow down the spread or growth of a fire by using materials that are chemically treated to inhibit the flame or form a protective layer.
